I’m loving the fact that everyone is all up in arms about the new Red Riding Hood movie. “Why do they have to ruin a wonderful children’s story by making it all violent and full of sex?” Umm, have you ever actually read the original story? The Grimm brothers’ stories were never “wonderful children’s stories”… so get over it. This film is...

One hour until my final exam
I’ve finally decided on a war story to write about for the essay. Star Wars. How did I not think of this earlier? I know it better than any other war story out there. I’m feeling good about this now.

I've been neglecting you, tumblr.
I think I’m almost a week behind on the Christmas challenge. The last 3 weeks have been absolutely insane. But the chaos will be over soon enough. My final exam is in 14 hours. I haven’t studied at all yet. It’s 3:30 in the morning and I’ve been lifelessly surfing the net for about 4 hours now. My brain is melting and I just want to go home and be with my family for a...

Christmas Challenge Day 13: Previous Christmas...
I remember one year it was super mild outside and we had absolutely no snow. I think I was about 11 or 12. My brother got a new basketball for Christmas, so we went outside in our sweaters (no mittens or hats or anything) and played basketball on the driveway. This may not seem like much for people down south, but it’s rare for us.
I would like to point out though, that although this was a...
My neighbour is snow blowing everyone’s driveway. I think he might be ridiculously bored because honestly, what 19 year old wants to do that?!
Also, he said there was a B&E down the street from us. The cops have been around here all morning. Oh Barrie, why can’t you be more like North Bay? Not that the bay is 100% safe, but I definitely feel safer there than down here.

Christmas Challenge Day 11: Favourite Christmas...
It’s a well-known fact that I am the biggest Christmas lover EVER. I’m always in such a cheery mood and very little can bring me down at this time of year. Yet somehow, my favourite Christmas songs happen to be the most cynical and depressing ones. Odd. Well, for about 4 or 5 years now, my favourite Christmas song is December is for Cynics by The Matches. I just love everything about...

Christmas Challenge Day 10: Favourite gift...
For the record, this is the worst time of year to do a challenge like this. There’s just too much going on. I don’t think I’ll ever get posts done on time. Anyway…
I enjoyed practical gifts when I was younger. I know, sounds ridiculous, but it’s true! And what’s more practical than food?! The gifts I always looked forward to were the bananas my aunt’s...
